Sermon By Jentezen Franklin: Fasting for Complete Victory


God's Will is to Give Us Victory over things that have kept us in bondage , to Give Us Victory over our emotions, over our actions, over things like depression and many more that things that are not from Him!

Everyone needs at least one person of God as a friend, to not just make us feel good but also to challenge us to better faith and better relationship with God!

2 Kings 13:16-19 & Joshua 4:1-3

  1. We need to Rid ourselves of somethings that are keeping us from receiving God's anointing on our lives 
12 Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two.
13 Elisha then picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. 2 Kings 2:12-13

2.   The three arrows are the three things we need to do as Christians
Fast
Pray and
Give
We need to put our efforts in to these things, not just do them for the sake of doing them but with full intention of victory. 

“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. Matthew 6:16

He is a Better Planner!

I did not mean to take the whole summer off from blogging it just so happen to be that way. Partly due to the numerous things that were changing in my life but more so due to lack of better planning/ time blocking. One of the highlights of my summer was becoming a Mrs. I never knew the weight the pre-fix would carry until I heard someone address me as such. I don't know about you but the Amharic word is, even more, weightier, "ወይዘሮ/weyizero"!. That was one of my life updates. Now that I said that, let's get to the meat and potatoes of my post...
