Video of the Week!

Lord if I could buy You a gift  To show You my Love Tell you how I feel  It wouldn't matter what I would have to give I would find a way to get it for You But fortunately that's not the case And we both know I don't have bank anyway But I won't let it affect my presentation to You Cause this is what I bring Here is my heart my mind Lord here's my life My everything Take it It's Yours oh Lord! "My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways," Proverbs 23:26 " 16  Circumcise  your hearts,  therefore, and do not be stiff-necked  any longer.   17  For the  Lord  your God is God of gods  and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome,  who shows no partiality  and accepts no bribes." Deuteronomy 10:16-17 Stay Blessed<3

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Christ is Risen

Jesus Died but He rose, He rose and He is coming back! 1) Easter is about life: Resurrection is key! "12  But tell me this—since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead?   13  For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either.   14  And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.   15  And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead.   16  And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised.   17  And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.   18  In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost!   19  And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. 20  But i

Challenge of the Week!

Good afternoon peeps :) It is officially that time of year…you  can drop the big coats now! :) God is good!! Do you have a list of things you want to accomplish each year (new years resolution or another type of list)? Do you have 'get in shape' on it? If you do, do you work out or do you plan on sitting and waiting for a miraculous fitness to occur? Do you have 'be healthy by eating healthy' on the list? If you do, do you actually eat healthy or do you stuff your face (like me :( lol) with bunch of goodies, unhealthy ones too??? The point is, you need to work for it!! Challenge of the Week: This week I challenge you to take those things seriously. I know a lot of people out there say they want to know more of God, they want to read the bible, they want to be in close communication with God! Are you that person? if you are, I challenge you to ask yourself this.."what am I actually doing to draw nearer to God??" I challenge you to do what is required of you

Prayer of the Week!

Hello everyone :) Happy Easter Monday! :) God is so good! Easter is the time when we are reminded of the extent of the father's love! A beautifully perfect man, Jesus Christ, bore my imperfections on that cross! How much more love can one receive? What greater love is there? Non compares to that! One of Jesus's disciples pulled out a sword and struck a soldier. He cut the soldier's ear off! That is the most human thing to do! The ways of the flesh demands that you fight for everything. He fought to defend, or so he thought, Jesus. Jesus said simple yet proud words of disapproval! Prayer of the Week: This week let us pray to be able to fight in the spirit more than the flesh. As Christians, our faith in God accomplishes things more than our fleshly fights. Pray this week to become the better reflection of Christ's teaching. Pray that you will learn to numb your fleshly reflexes. Pray that your urges to strike back when hit, to hurt back when you have been hurt dies d

Spiritual Nostalgia

The author of the book The Future of Nostalgia,  Svetlana Boym,  describes nostalgia as a sentimentality for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.  I was at a coffee shop when I heard an interesting scientific finding. According to studies done on different people, nostalgia is being recognized as one of the many human  strengths . Though the usual cause for nostalgia is  loneliness it results in a happier mental state. It provides a person with a feeling of being loved and cared for. So then it is recognized as strength because one can change the state of mind he/she is in by simply  remembering  times of past  happiness .  We all know in our spiritual walks with God there are those 'in-explainable silences', times when we feel God hears but does not reply. Those times when we miss His voice but we, for some reason, can't seem to hear it! Those times are designed for us to grow in our faith. However, we become pron to the feeling

We exalt Your name high above the heavens We exalt Your name all of creation sings Your name  for Jesus reigns over all  He reigns! "Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name," Philippians 2:9 Stay Blessed<3

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: W.A.T.C.H

You have a purpose in this life. If you are not watchful you will be replaced. God will continue working but not through you! \ "32  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33  Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34  For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36  Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch . "  Mark 13:32-37 W.A.T.C.H stands for 1) Watch out for Words *Watch out for words that come from the devil  *Watch out for words that come from others *Watch out for words that come from your mouth "\

Challenge of the Week!

Hello everyone :D Having a great day? Oh how beautiful it is outside :D Days like this make me look up to my creator and Just praise Him for all that He has made :D Oh how we hate to have weaknesses! Oh how we try so hard to rid ourselves of these weaknesses! Oh how we strive to be perfect! Oh how we spend a life time trying! Can't we just accept we are beautifully flawed beings and live our lives knowing that? Challenge of the Week: This week I challenge you to accept yourself as you are. Accepting who you are does not mean you stop trying to be the better version of you! I challenge to accept your weakness. This week love yourself as He has loved you enough to die for you. This week I challenge you to know that trying to change who you are is like saying God, creator of the universe, made a mistake when He made you! This week I challenge you to know and believe you are fearfully and wonderfully made, made for a purpose!! "I praise you  because I am fearfully and wond

Prayer of the Week!

Hello everyone :) How is your day going? I was indoors the whole day so I dodged the rain :D But, It amazes me to see the different seasons and how each one has a unique marking :) God is very creative :D Do you have a set time for everything? Are like me in the sense that you like having routines? You get more excited about your routine than any spontaneous thing? Is prayer part of your routine? What part of the day is set apart for it? Prayer of the Week: This week let us try and be spontaneous with our prayer life. This week instead of praying at the same time and place let us change it up. Let us get it in our heads that our prayer time should not be another thing from our to do list that we cross out after completing. Prayer and worship together are a life style. Prayer is an important means of getting a one-on-one with the King of the universe!! Pray knowing that! "6 Come, let us bow down  in worship,      let us kneel  before the  Lord  our Maker;   7 for he is our G

Feeling Vs Being alive!

This past month has been the most radio I have listed to in nearly 5 years.  I have noticed that most of the songs played are not only repeated a billion times a day, they also have lyrics about life. The songs echo a deep craving people have for a joyful, purposeful and meaningful life. One of these songs really caught my attention, the lyrics was ringing in my ears "everything that kills me makes me feel alive". Do you see the irony in that??? So according to the lyrics, things that seem to give you life actually take it away! You see when people claim that alcohol is the life of the party they neglect to mention it is nothing but a mere distraction from life. They also don't tell you the heavy baggage it comes with. For that moment you will feel alive, but what about the next day? So if you don't feel alive do you then conclude you aren't living? Do you then go back to the alcohol to feel alive again? Do you see a vicious cycle forming? "The thief come

Video of the Week!

Your Presence is Heaven to me, Jesus! Jesus, You are the cup that won't run dry! "But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:14 "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."  Psalm 16: 11 Stay Blessed<3

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: God's Secret Remedy of Fasting and Prayer

I can't change it but if I pray I can learn to live with it!!! 1) Let my Prayers be like incense to Your Throne, God : Let my prayers be of sweet smell and pleasing to you oh Lord! "1 I call to you,  Lord , come quickly  to me;      hear me  when I call to you.   2 May my prayer be set before you like incense;      may the lifting up of my hands  be like the evening sacrifice." Psalms 141:1-2 2) My prayers might not change the situation but they will change the atmosphere I am  in: Like the incense conceals the bad smell of slaughtered animals 11  “Aaron shall bring the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household,  and he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering.   12  He is to take a censer full of burning coals  from the altar before the  Lord  and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense  and take them behind the curtain.   13  He is to put the incense on the fire before the  Lord , and the sm

Challenge of the Week!

Hello everyone how has your Tuesday been??? Mine has been semi productive but I thank God :) I hope yours was fully productive :) Do you enjoy watching movies? Do you love reading books? How do you spend your spare time? Challenge of the Week: For the last couple of months I have been challenging myself to spend more time with God's word. I have been challenging myself to watch more bible based movies in my spare time. Moreover, I have started reading the bible from Genesis beginning of this year. This week I challenge you to pursue God in more ways than usual. Seek to learn God's word through watching bible based movies and reading the bible more regularly. Hold yourself accountable or tell a friend if you want to be challenged more. I urge you to take this challenge seriously! "I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word." Psalms 119:16 Stay Blessed<3

Prayer of the Week!

Good day everyone :) How has your day been? I don't know how it is where you are, but weather here has been so beautiful ( Btw the reference about the weather was for Monday!)! I am so thankful!! :) Have you gotten on your knees ready to pray and was just at a loss for words? Is it that you had an idea of what you wanted to pray about but didn't know how to translate it in to meaningful sentences? Prayer of the Week: This week pray knowing that God gets it. Pray knowing that your prayers don't need to be properly structured sentences for God to hear or understand them. Pray knowing that your inner cries are heard louder than dull words. Pray knowing that you have a father in heaven who cares about you more than how your prayers sound! "And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God." Romans 8:27 Stay Blessed<3
