Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: First Fruits of The New Year

If God is first in your life everything is in order but if you don't have Him first..... . "11  “After the  Lord  brings you into the land of the Canaanites  and gives it to you, as he promised on oath  to you and your ancestors,   12  you are to give over to the  Lord  the first offspring of every womb. All the firstborn males of your livestock belong to the  Lord . 13  Redeem with a lamb every firstborn donkey,  but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem  every firstborn among your sons. 14  “In days to come, when your son  asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ say to him, ‘With a mighty hand the  Lord  brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.   15  When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the  Lord  killed the firstborn of both people and animals in Egypt. This is why I sacrifice to the  Lord  the first male offspring of every womb and redeem each of my firstborn sons." Exodus 13:11-15 1) The clean(Jesus) had to be sacrificed in o

Sermon By Jentezen Franklin: Fasting for Complete Victory

God's Will is to Give Us Victory over things that have kept us in bondage , to Give Us Victory over our emotions, over our actions, over things like depression and many more that things that are not from Him! Everyone needs at least one person of God as a friend, to not just make us feel good but also to challenge us to better faith and better relationship with God! 2 Kings 13:16-19 & Joshua 4:1-3 We need to Rid ourselves of somethings that are keeping us from receiving God's anointing on our lives  12  Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots   and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore   it in two. 13  Elisha then picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. 2 Kings 2:12-13 2.   The three arrows are the three things we need to do as Christians Fast Pray and Give We need to put our efforts in to these thin

Challenge of the Week

Good morning everyone :) How is everyone doing? Did you hear its going to get soooo cold today? Be warm in your hearts to avoid freezing entirely :D (not so funny joke eh, at least I tried) Have you ever been so busy with the world that you kept things of the heavenly kingdom aside? It happens to all of us! What did you do when you noticed it? Challenge of the Week: When you do feel like you are taking care of your flesh more than your soul I challenge you stop what ever it is you are doing and go and stand/kneel before God! I challenge you to pray, pray continually! I challenge you to recognize that this world is nothing but temporary, don't miss out on the gift of eternal life for temporary pleasure! " But seek first his kingdom  and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 Stay Blessed<3

Prayer of the Week

Hello :) How is everyone doing this very cold morning? I am doing great praise God :). A friend was explaining to me how two weeks ago he hated winter but he was given a humbling reminder that God created everything, both the winter and the summer! He concluded his story by telling me now he appreciates each season because they are all there for a reason! Have you ever felt like you are not liking the way your life is headed or you are not yet seeing the fruits of your labor? Or you are tempted to say this year is not my year? There is a REASON for every SEASON! Prayer of the Week: This week pray that you will stand still and firm in the good works that you are doing.Though, you feel you aren't seeing the results just yet, keep praying and persevere. Pray that, though you don't understand the reason behind the season, you will keep trusting God almighty! "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1  "The

DEAD or ASLEEP???

If I were to ask "who here loves to sleep?" and I was addressing an audience, I am sure 98% would raise their hands. Wouldn't you?? I know I would. I have a housemate who is also a like a sister to me who says in her own words,” I sleep like a log, so you won’t wake me up even if you try to!” I would have to testify it is the truth, when she sleeps she sleeps! I am a light sleeper, if I hear a knock I wake up. If there is a conversation near me I can randomly join in. However there is this one time that I slept though a major emergency on the floor I was on. I have to say though that night I was not only sleeping for one night but all the sleep and weariness from days before were lumped to one night of sleep.  I love watching comedy and I sometimes watch Amharic comedy dramas. On one of them, the son of the house sleeps a lot and the dad asked him if he is just sleeping or training for death. I laughed a lot when I first heard that but later on it started meaning mo

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin:A Fast Pass to a Cross Over

When God is going to do something powerful, your comfort is challenged!! When you are looking to move to a new location be ready to change your diet! Biblical Truth : Egypt -> Wilderness -> Canaan  Spiritual Lesson : Living in the World -> Getting saved -> Cross Over The day after the Passover, that very day, they ate some of the produce of the land: unleavened bread  and roasted grain.Joshua 5:11 The manna stopped the day after  they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan. Joshua 5:12 How Praise and Worship can alter a situation.... Now the gates of Jericho  were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. Joshua 6:1 Stay Blessed<3

Challenge of the Week

Good morning :) Happy Tuesday everyone :) How is everything going? Praise God 2013 is a year of victory for all of us, Amen?!? Have you ever felt like that one place you are required to go is a place of despair and ungodliness? Have you ever been in that place where you felt darkness all around you and yet you needed to be there? Challenge of the Week: This week I challenge you to first recognize if you are constantly going to a place that drains you spiritually. When you do then start taking charge, start to be prayerful. I challenge you to protect your self from the poisons of that darkness by being prayerful. By protecting your self from the darkness you continue to be the light of this world!! "In the same way, let your light shine before others,  that they may see your good deeds and glorify  your Father in heaven."Matthew 5:16 Stay Blessed<3

Prayer of the Week

How are you doing this Monday :) Though it is colder and darker than yesterday the light within me is keeping me warm! When you have Christ in your heart, situations don't really alter the internal and eternal peace you have with Him! Have you taken time to notice how broken this world is? Have you noticed that  people who are broken and depressed are everywhere? Have you taken 5 minutes out of your busy day to just pray for these people? Prayer of the Week: This week I ask you to join my friends and I in prayer. Join us in praying for the needy, not just material needs but people in need of emotional support. Pray for those you see on buses or when walking and you notice that they have that sad face, that face of hopelessness that face of emptiness that face that looks like it hasn't cracked open to smile in the longest time. This week (and hopefully many more weeks to come) look out for these people around you and then pray for them.   " Devote yourselves to pray

Taste and See!

If you were to ask me if I am a picky person I would say no I am just very selective and opinionated. But am sure most of my family and friends would beg to differ. There are some things in life I can’t eat even if am hungry, but on the flip side of things there are some things (which shall remain nameless for the sake of my reputation) that I choose to keep eating even when I am full. I am very selective on things I watch, things I listen to and also the type of ear phones I use.   If you had asked me, a day ago to use one of those earphones that go into your ears (they are designed that way to avoid the noise disturbance from the surrounding) I would probably laugh at you. One faithful day (TODAY!), I decided to give them a try because I had lost the ones that came with my phone a while ago and the replacement has poor sound quality. I didn’t like the earphones before even giving them a try, and so when I tried them for the first time today I was shocked at how amazing my w
