The spirit of fear can stop you from achieving what you are meant to achieve! Fear seeks to paralyze your faith! Be strong and of good courage was mentioned 4 times in this ( Joshua 1 )part of Scripture 1) The first reason God told Joshua to not fear is for the people's sake : Your God ordained purpose will not only help you but others too! Are you one of those people who have felt God's presence and seen God's hand in your life in an undeniable way? Do you still doubt? Do you still feel alone when one tiny thing goes wrong? Do you still struggle with trusting God? Don't worry it's not just you, but let us figure out a way to end this once and for all! Challenge of the Week: This week let us challenge our selves to remember God's goodness. Let us remember God has done amazing things in our lives. Let us remember that we have not only heard saying He is good but we have experienced His goodness too! Let us also know there are times we don't hear from God as often as we used to. But, we need to know that it is not His way of punishing us but teaching us. In other words, have you listened to yourself more than God and convinced yourself that your will is the same as God's? Or have you given God the time and opportunity to speak to you and make know to you His will? Have you been in a place where you know His will but you aren't quiet comfortable with it, not yet at least? Challenge of the Week: This week I challenge you to first test if your will is in alignment to His. I challenge you then to recognize the difference and that His ways are always superior to ours. Have you ever  gone back to that incident or circumstance and looked at it through your spiritual glasses? Have you seen it to be works of evil? Have you felt like this evil was a punishment from God? I want to tell you that being evil or any traits of evil do not go in accordance to God's character. He is good and anything opposite from that, I can confidently say, it is not from God! Look at things from a spiritual point of view! I want to tell you that there is a difference between something that seems like it's from God and something that is from God! November 17, 2013 If you were in Addis on Saturday November 16, 2013 you would completely see where am going with this. I started noticing this wave of unity around noon as left the house to meet up with a friend. I have never heard the phrase "yehager fiker" be used these many times in a short time span. For those of you who don't understand Amharic ( National language of Ethiopia) it means love one has for one's country. You might ask, " What was happening that day that was so special?" There was a crucial soccer match between the Ethiopian National Soccer team (Waliyas) and the Nigerian National Soccer team ( Super Eagles). This match  determined  whether or not Ethiopia made it to the world cup. The game was set to take place in  Nigeria at 6pm local time. The crowd, the hype and the unity is one I had never witnessed. It was almost like non of the differences Ethiopian people had mattered. Nothing was as significant as the Unity.  It got me
