Compassion!

These past couple of days I have been filled with compassion towards people who have lost loved ones.  “Compassion is the virtue of empathy for the suffering of others. It is regarded as a fundamental part of human love, and a cornerstone of greater social interconnection and humanism —foundational to the highest principles in philosophy, society, and personhood.” ~ Wikipedia

God is Love! The love He has towards us He has displayed in so many ways. God first showed His compassion towards the human race by sending His only son to die for us; “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16. God in flesh, Jesus Christ, continued to show compassion towards us.  He especially had compassion towards people who had lost their loved ones. In many occasions, as recorded in the Holy Bible, Jesus had wept out of compassion. “33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. 34 “Where have you laid him?” He asked. “Come and see, Lord,” they replied.35 Jesus wept.36 Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”  John 11:33-36. He felt compassion when He saw that the city of the chosen people of God did not see that He was the one God sent; He wept when He saw that people are so far from the truth! As He approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it” Luke 19:44

Just the same way Jesus had compassion towards people He loves, towards people that don’t know Him and people that don’t acknowledge Him so should we! As Christians, our goal in life is to look like Jesus. Looking like Him in Character, in having compassion towards the brokenhearted, towards those who don’t know Him. But this compassion should not end in just tears. Jesus after He cried over what happened to Lazarus, He asked to be directed towards the tomb so He could pray for him. Let us cry then pray. Lets use God’s promise as means of encouragement towards others. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalms 34:18

Notes:
  • Compassion is necessary
  • When you do feel compassion let it not just stop at tears let it continue to prayer
Stay Blessed<3

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Spirit of Python: Teaching Angels to Worship

When you are going to hell/trails and you worship is when you can teach the Angels to Worship :) 1) God is Spirit : the Spirit is looking for people who will worship Him in truth and In spirit. *In Truth: the right truth (Jesus : see John 14:6) * In Spirit: even during trails we need to be in the spirit of Joy, Faith, Hope and Love "God is spirit,  and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 2) God can make something out of nothing : before God spoke the world into motion it was nothing. He took what was nothing made it into something. He also hung it on nothing, there is nothing that holds the universe in place! “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?      Tell me, if you understand." Job 38:4 How and when can we teach worship to the Angels? Angels Vs. Us Angels 1) Angels have never been nor will they ever be under the course of sin 2) They live in a perfect place (Heaven) 3) The fir...

Just Jaded!

I hope you and your loved ones are safe in these crazy times. If any tragedy has come to your home, I pray God's peace and love envelops you right where you are. I pray that you rely on His unending love, mercy, grace, and strength in this time of hardship... I am, like most people, feeling very jaded. I have experienced more highs and lows in such intense frequencies now than any other time I can remember. I believe this is why the Lord has me sharing this... I had planned to write about loving people and what it looks like in different seasons. However, I felt a nudge that I should be sharing about the hope I have despite feeling jaded. To make sure we are on the same page about what I mean when I say jaded, here are two definitions from Merriam Webster's dictionary:  1: fatigued by overwork: EXHAUSTED  2: made dull, apathetic, or cynical by experience or by having or seeing too much of something I can identify with both definitions. In this season, I fin...

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: The Power of Doing More than Expected

Even Jesus went a little farther...He did more than expected! Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:39 1) Jacob was working for his unfair father-in-law...and still did more than expected   Genesis 29 Jacob was tricked by his father-in-law Laban. But he never sinned against Laban and he always did more than what was expected from him! 2) Who did Jacob learn it from..doing more than expected? From his mother Rebekah "17  The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.” 18  “Drink, my lord,” she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink. 19  After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have had enough to drink.” 20  So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough, ran back to the we...
