Prayer of the Week!

Great evening eh? Mine is going great (I don't think you can tell by how I started the post lol) I hope yours is going great as well!

Have you ever sat down to think about what you mean to God? Have you thought for a second that you are exactly the way you are because God made you that way ( I mean who you are on the inside, the inside only you and God know about, the inner good in you that you mask so often!). Do you know He created each and everyone one of us for a good cause? Did you know we are not only His projects we are His handiwork? You are so much closer to His heart than you can ever imagine!

Prayer of the Week: This week pray that you recognize you are crafted by creator of the universe. This week I pray that you understand that God enjoys the little things as much as the big things about you. This week recognize that He cares so much more about you that you could ever imagine! This week I pray you see your self as the master piece He has made you to be! You are beautiful! Also, don't ever underestimate your self He has brought you here for a great purpose in Christ Jesus!

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."Ephesians 2:10

  1. EASTER AND THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST? BY STEVE FINNELL

Did the first century church of Christ designate one day a year to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and call it Easter? The short answer is no!

I do not know of one verse of Scripture that instructs Christians to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on one certain day nor any days.

Do I believe it is wrong to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ? No, I do not, however, Christians are not commanded to celebrate His resurrection.

FROM WHERE DID THE WORD EASTER ORIGINATE?

Easter was derived from the name of a pagan goddess.

Is the word Easter in the Bible? Yes, but it is found in very few translations.

Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.(KJV)

Acts 12:4 When he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out before the people.(NASB)

The word Easter or Passover was not given as an instruction to Christians as a celebration.

In Acts 12:4 Easter or Passover was used to denote a time in history, not to legitimized them as a Christian celebration.

It makes no difference which word is use, Easter or Passover, the message of Acts 12:4 remains the same; a time in history.

Celebrate the resurrection Jesus Christ at will, it is not a sin. Remember that the apostles nor the first century church of Christ did not designated one day a year as Easter to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Spirit of Python: Teaching Angels to Worship

When you are going to hell/trails and you worship is when you can teach the Angels to Worship :) 1) God is Spirit : the Spirit is looking for people who will worship Him in truth and In spirit. *In Truth: the right truth (Jesus : see John 14:6) * In Spirit: even during trails we need to be in the spirit of Joy, Faith, Hope and Love "God is spirit,  and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 2) God can make something out of nothing : before God spoke the world into motion it was nothing. He took what was nothing made it into something. He also hung it on nothing, there is nothing that holds the universe in place! “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?      Tell me, if you understand." Job 38:4 How and when can we teach worship to the Angels? Angels Vs. Us Angels 1) Angels have never been nor will they ever be under the course of sin 2) They live in a perfect place (Heaven) 3) The fir...

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: The Power of Doing More than Expected

Even Jesus went a little farther...He did more than expected! Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:39 1) Jacob was working for his unfair father-in-law...and still did more than expected   Genesis 29 Jacob was tricked by his father-in-law Laban. But he never sinned against Laban and he always did more than what was expected from him! 2) Who did Jacob learn it from..doing more than expected? From his mother Rebekah "17  The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.” 18  “Drink, my lord,” she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink. 19  After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have had enough to drink.” 20  So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough, ran back to the we...

Just Jaded!

I hope you and your loved ones are safe in these crazy times. If any tragedy has come to your home, I pray God's peace and love envelops you right where you are. I pray that you rely on His unending love, mercy, grace, and strength in this time of hardship... I am, like most people, feeling very jaded. I have experienced more highs and lows in such intense frequencies now than any other time I can remember. I believe this is why the Lord has me sharing this... I had planned to write about loving people and what it looks like in different seasons. However, I felt a nudge that I should be sharing about the hope I have despite feeling jaded. To make sure we are on the same page about what I mean when I say jaded, here are two definitions from Merriam Webster's dictionary:  1: fatigued by overwork: EXHAUSTED  2: made dull, apathetic, or cynical by experience or by having or seeing too much of something I can identify with both definitions. In this season, I fin...
