Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Spirit of Python: Teaching Angels to Worship

When you are going to hell/trails and you worship is when you can teach the Angels to Worship :)

1) God is Spirit : the Spirit is looking for people who will worship Him in truth and In spirit.
*In Truth: the right truth (Jesus : see John 14:6)
* In Spirit: even during trails we need to be in the spirit of Joy, Faith, Hope and Love

"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24

2) God can make something out of nothing : before God spoke the world into motion it was nothing. He took what was nothing made it into something. He also hung it on nothing, there is nothing that holds the universe in place!

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand." Job 38:4

How and when can we teach worship to the Angels?
Angels Vs. Us
Angels
1) Angels have never been nor will they ever be under the course of sin
2) They live in a perfect place (Heaven)
3) The first conscious thought of angels was God, hence programmed to worship Him
Us
1) We were under the course of sin until we accepted Christ as our personal Savior ( Those who haven't accepted Christ as their personal Savior are still under the course of sin).
2) We live in a broken world
3) Our first conscious thoughts are far from God, hence why we need to be in the spirit and in truth  to be His true worshipers.

But, even in these circumstances when we choose to worship God, is when we can teach the Angels to worship. Let's take Job as a great example!

Job Worshiped God when he had everything

"6 One day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land." Job 1:6-10

Job Worshiped God even after he lost everything

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
    and naked I will depart.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.” Job 1:21

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: The Power of Doing More than Expected

Even Jesus went a little farther...He did more than expected! Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:39 1) Jacob was working for his unfair father-in-law...and still did more than expected   Genesis 29 Jacob was tricked by his father-in-law Laban. But he never sinned against Laban and he always did more than what was expected from him! 2) Who did Jacob learn it from..doing more than expected? From his mother Rebekah "17  The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.” 18  “Drink, my lord,” she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink. 19  After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have had enough to drink.” 20  So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough, ran back to the we...

Just Jaded!

I hope you and your loved ones are safe in these crazy times. If any tragedy has come to your home, I pray God's peace and love envelops you right where you are. I pray that you rely on His unending love, mercy, grace, and strength in this time of hardship... I am, like most people, feeling very jaded. I have experienced more highs and lows in such intense frequencies now than any other time I can remember. I believe this is why the Lord has me sharing this... I had planned to write about loving people and what it looks like in different seasons. However, I felt a nudge that I should be sharing about the hope I have despite feeling jaded. To make sure we are on the same page about what I mean when I say jaded, here are two definitions from Merriam Webster's dictionary:  1: fatigued by overwork: EXHAUSTED  2: made dull, apathetic, or cynical by experience or by having or seeing too much of something I can identify with both definitions. In this season, I fin...
