Sermon by Jentezen Franklin : A Lily Among Thorns

Christ became a Lily among Thorns for our sake!

Thorns are a representation of results of sin in the bible!

" 17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’
“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.

18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field." Genesis 3:17-18

Lily is a representation of beauty, life and fruit of being rooted in Christ while in this world in the bible

"1 I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.
As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters." Song of Solomon 2:1-2
The Five Beauties of a Lily

1) A Lily is good medicine : Christ is able to heal you!

"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

2) A Lily has a sweet smell : Christ is an offering that is pleasing to God

"and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Ephesians 5:2

3) There are seven grains inside each Lily: The seven grains represent the seven spirits of the Lord

4) A Lily can give rise to fifty new ones : Christ is the first fruit of those who have passed on

"But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep." 1 Corinthians 15:20

5) A Lily is the tallest of all flowers : He is the Lord of lords, the King of Kings, Christ has the name above all names

"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name," Philippians 2:9

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Spirit of Python: Teaching Angels to Worship

When you are going to hell/trails and you worship is when you can teach the Angels to Worship :) 1) God is Spirit : the Spirit is looking for people who will worship Him in truth and In spirit. *In Truth: the right truth (Jesus : see John 14:6) * In Spirit: even during trails we need to be in the spirit of Joy, Faith, Hope and Love "God is spirit,  and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 2) God can make something out of nothing : before God spoke the world into motion it was nothing. He took what was nothing made it into something. He also hung it on nothing, there is nothing that holds the universe in place! “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?      Tell me, if you understand." Job 38:4 How and when can we teach worship to the Angels? Angels Vs. Us Angels 1) Angels have never been nor will they ever be under the course of sin 2) They live in a perfect place (Heaven) 3) The fir...

He is a Better Planner!

I did not mean to take the whole summer off from blogging it just so happen to be that way. Partly due to the numerous things that were changing in my life but more so due to lack of better planning/ time blocking. One of the highlights of my summer was becoming a Mrs. I never knew the weight the pre-fix would carry until I heard someone address me as such. I don't know about you but the Amharic word is, even more, weightier, "ወይዘሮ/weyizero"!. That was one of my life updates. Now that I said that, let's get to the meat and potatoes of my post... I have said before that I am a recovering perfectionist. Today, I stand before you confirming that statement still rings true in my life. I confess, somedays, I face some battles as if I had never before and get frustrated because I haven't gotten perfect at not being a perfectionist! You see the irony...   Tracing back where my want/need to be perfectionist came from, I was surprised to find out that it was linked to ...
