I can't change it but if I pray I can learn to live with it!!!
1) Let my Prayers be like incense to Your Throne, God : Let my prayers be of sweet smell and pleasing to you oh Lord!
"1 I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me;
hear me when I call to you.
2 May my prayer be set before you like incense;
may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice." Psalms 141:1-2
2) My prayers might not change the situation but they will change the atmosphere I am in: Like the incense conceals the bad smell of slaughtered animals
11 “Aaron shall bring the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household, and he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering. 12 He is to take a censer full of burning coals from the altar before the Lord and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense and take them behind the curtain. 13 He is to put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover above the tablets of the covenant law, so that he will not die." Leviticus 16:11-13
3) Through my prayers I learn to accept God's will : I understand His will is far greater than mine
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." Luke 22:42
4) When I can't handle my situation, through prayer I ask for God's unending strength to come and be my strength: His grace is fully sufficient
8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:8-10
