Washroom Labels

As a server at a restaurant, I am expected to inspect and clean the washrooms before opening and closing (before and after a shift). I was doing my usual routine, and I walked in to the males washroom (The restaurant was closed so technically both washrooms were just washrooms no gender difference. I will explain wait!) So many times, this is outside of my work, I have walked in to the male washrooms by mistake and minus the urinals everything looks the same. But then again in my first year residence building, the female washrooms had urinals so I can bring that case up for argument sake lol. The reason we had urinals was because our residence used to be males-only, it was then recently made coed and they didn’t bother to remove the urinals. Trust me when I say this but all washrooms are the same looking. And if you are blindfolded and taken into a male washroom without urinals and asked which one it is that you are in, would you know?  Human beings, minus the titles given ...

Video of the week: Not Guilty

"and all are justified  freely by his grace  through the redemption  that came by Christ Jesus" Romans 3:24 "For God so loved  the world that he gave  his one and only Son,  that whoever believes  in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 "Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life." Revelations 21:27 My fate is in the Judges Hands, but then He turns to me and says , I know you, I love you, I gave my life for you!! What kind of grace will take a place for my sin!!! Sermon by Jentezen Franklin:Protector of the Shield

13  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Ephesians 5:13-14   Protector of the Shield from Kingdom Connection on Vimeo . FAITH is the currency of HEAVEN! This message was so encouraging :) I pray it will encourage you as it has encouraged me! Stay Blessed<3

Challenge of the week!

Hello and good morning to all of you :) so this week's challenge is more so therapy than a challenge. I have had times when I suddenly got hit by a storm of anxiety out of nowhere and before I knew to meditate on God's word my natural response was of course to cry! But, today I stand before you a changed person, a stronger person for in my weakness I always see His Strength. This weeks Challenge: Memorize Philippians 4:6-7 and meditate on it when ever you feel anxious "6  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 Stay Blessed<3

Prayer of the week!

Morning everyone :) Happy Monday? Well I hope it is :) What has been going on through my head this past few days is the Topic of serving the Lord whole heartedly. It is so easy to feel like we have served Him, only when we have Given Him our brain (we think of Him), or our hands (we help move things around the church, build things, or even play music instruments for the church). But what about our heart? He answered: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind" Luke 10:27a According to God's word in Luke 10 , we are to Love/Serve Him with our all.Which brings me to the prayer of the week: Pray that you won't feel content by just serving Him with your hands, or your brain, Put your heart in to it too! Just as the brain uses blood that is pumped from the heart, let you service have an element of the heart. Stay Blessed<3

Evangelism or Sales

Good morning :) Just pretend today is Friday lol :) This is a post that was supposed to be for  Friday  sorry for the delay!   I don’t know if I have ever mentioned that I work part time, I serve at an Ethiopian restaurant. You will probably be hearing about this job of mine many times in the things I will be writing. If any of you have ever worked in restaurants or any job that requires sales you will defiantly relate. Don’t stress, you will still understand even if you have never worked in a sales job. Personally, I am not a big fan of alcohol. At work though, we sell both food and alcohol. I am so much more convincing when I am making a sell on food that I love, or even food that I know is good than alcohol. Now, when it comes to alcohol, it is a different story. First off, I can’t even explain the difference between different beers nor can I express my liking of beer by describing the different flavours. Part of the reason I lack passion for describing or se...

Sermon By Jentezen Franklin: Giving God Our AWL!

2 " If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years; but on the seventh he shall go out as a free man without payment. 3  If he comes alone, he shall go out alone; if he is the husband of a wife, then his wife shall go out with him. 4  If his master gives him a wife, and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall belong to her master, and he shall go out alone. 5  But if the slave plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife and my children; I will not go out as a free man,’ 6  then his master shall bring him to God, then he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an AWL; and he shall serve him permanently."   Exodus 21:2-6  Giving God Your Awl from Kingdom Connection on Vimeo . *Loving your Master comes first, you aren't forced to stick to your Master, Jesus, you want to stick with Him *Serve the Lord with your ALL, nothing less! *Don't let it take you a...

Challenge of the Week!

Hello :) am not even going to say good morning only because i know its way past morning :) so Good afternoon :) Its Tuesday today! that means challenge of the week :) The tongue is one of the smallest parts of our body, yet without the tongue talking would be impossible. This weeks challenge is concerning this tiny part with a huge function :) How many of us say things we are sure God wouldn't approve off? How many of us use our tongue more for complaining than for praise? How many of us speak negativity instead of encouragement? "The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell." James 3:6 According to James 3:6 the tongue not only play a role in communication it also takes a role in corrupting our whole being! So this weeks challenge is to keep an eye on our tongues. When we are about to say negative things lets of an encouraging thin...

Prayer of the week

Good Morning everyone :) more like good afternoon, sorry I am few minutes behind schedule hence my post is at noon :) Happy Monday :) If your weeks are anything  like mine there won't be much time to lazy around or chill :) My week is crazy busy or its supposed to be (found out this morning after going through all the things i need to do before the end of the week) So, Prayer of the week: * Pray that even through busy times of our lives we don't forget to give time to our Father in heaven. Your quiet times or devotionals might not be as long as they usually are, or may be your prayers are shorter but in all things walk with Him, talk to Him. He is able to make busy times feel as though they are chill sessions :) I will leave you with a verse "For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him." Colossians 1:16 Stay Blessed ...

When you know you can’t He will show you that He can!

Have you ever been a situation that felt like there was no way out of? The thing about these situations is that once they hit they don’t stop getting worse. Also, when one thing goes bad everything seems to go bad on that same day..or so we think. This is to encourage you folks! There is a biblical truth I have learnt about such situations recently.  One faithful day I decided to pay my phone bill from a school computer (I never do that ever it’s just I was in school and I wasn’t going home soon so I had to pay it before I forgot). I use my Visa to pay and when I thought I finished paying the computer tells me it didn’t go through. So I went through the entire process 3 times. Before I tried it one last time I decided to call my credit card company; and according to them all 3 transactions went through and have been deducted from my account. You can imagine my shock! I immediately call my phone company and they tell me otherwise; so they haven’t received any sort...

Video of the week! Greater is He in Me

" You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1John 4:4            I will not be defeated because Greater is He in me! Be encouraged by these words of Life! Stay Blessed <3

Challenge of the week!

Good morning :) Happy New Year to all of you that celebrate it :D How these weekly challenges are going to work is we will be building on them each week. That is, this weeks challenge will/shall not be forgotten in stead when next weeks challenge comes up you will have two challenges and third week another one. This is helpful for disciplining ourselves. This is not just for you guys, I will be challenging myself as well! Mark 16:15  He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Challenge of the week: Go out to the world and share the good news, the gospel! Now, this is a challenge to me personally because I am not the best when it comes to sharing but it is clearly something we need to be doing as Christians. In Matthew 28:20 Jesus tells us  "and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."   According to Matt 28:20 there is nothing to fear becaus...

Prayer of the Week

Good morning :) Today is actually Monday :) For those of you who don't know a lot about Ethiopian culture we follow our own calendar. According to Ethiopian Calender tomorrow is new years! So Happy Ethiopian New Year!! Now moving on to the prayer.. " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 Just as the new year comes let us pray that we are also new in Christ! Let us say good by to our old ways and hello to our walk with God! For those of you who have accepted Christ into your lives pray to be more like Christ this year than the year before. For those of you who haven't accepted Christ as your personal savior pray He reveals Him self to you!  And He will! Stay Blessed <3

Bird’s eye view

Good Morning :) It is Friday today :) And thank God it is! So you know how yesterday's post was titled prayer of the week, uhmm that is because I thought yesterday was monday :)  just because its first day of school it doesn't mean its first day of the week :) #notetoself  ... Prayer of the week will be every Monday! Bird’s eye view I was never the best student in my high school geography class but I know I have retained something from it, I hope I did :) One thing that I was thinking about though was the term bird’s eye view and I am sure I learnt it in geography. What it means basically is having an over view of things from the top or from vertically up. Even after high school this term has popped up in technical measurements. It is supposedly better or technically speaking more accurate to read measurements from a 90 ⁰ angle.   Now let me get to my actual point..and its not bragging about ma geography skills :) Life is full of situations and circumstance...
