The hugest lesson today was to find the courage and the faith to be content in all situations. Though it was a much more grieving time for Paul when he said it, I now know how he feels. When you feel like your day is going poorly and then a couple more things go wrong as if to prove Morphy's law true.Then of course you tend to complain. Don't worry it's not just you, it's all humans. And this is why things of the heavenly kingdom are not so natural to us as sinners. Because in the word of God we are told to not complain despite our situation. In fact, we are told to be content in all situation and give thanks to the most high King, God! So, when that moment of weakness shall come, when you feel like complaining, think eternally. Think of all the great things await you in eternity. In that moment, know that in Christ there is always a better and brighter tomorrow.
"11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." Philippians 4:11-12
"14 Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe" Philippians 2:14-15
