Sermon by Jentezen Franklin : Spirit of Python: The Weapons of Our Warfare

Put on the full Armor of God!

"10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." Ephesians 6: 10-13

1) First Armor: Put on the belt of Truth

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place," Ephesians 6:14

* A Roman solider's belt is what keeps the entire armor in place without it the whole armor would fall!
* When you put on the belt of truth, the truth of God, then you will know when the devil is lying to you. You can tell apart God's truth from the devil's lies. You must know the word of God!

2) Second Armor: Put on the breastplate of righteousness

* The breastplate of a Roman solider's armor is what protects few of the most vital organs of the human body including the heart.
* Protect your hearts from the lies of the devil. We put on Not our righteousness but His! Putting His righteousness on our hearts will protect us from immorality and getting hurt.
(Proverbs 4:23, 2 Corinthians 5:21)

3) Third Armor:  Put your feet grounded on the gospel of peace

"and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." Ephesians 6:15

* A Roman solider needs to have a firm footing to be successful in his battles.
* We need to have a strong footing on the Gospel of Peace because the enemy wants to get us out of balance. Stand fast in the liberty you have been given (Galatians 5:1)

4) Fourth Armor: Put your faith as your shield

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." Ephesians 6:16

* Roman soldiers soak their shields with water so when the fiery arrow of the enemy will be of no harm to them.
* We need a shield of faith washed in the cleansing word of God. Then after the fiery accusations and lies of the devil will be extinguished immediately. (Romans 8:6)

5) Fifth Armor: Hold on tight to your sword

"Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17

* Eleazer held on to his sword till he got tired and the sword froze and became part of the extension of his natural body (2 Samuel 23:10)
* We need to hold on to our spiritual sword (Word of God : Hebrews 4:12) to the point we are so attached to it and it will be a natural extension of us. Let us be in the word of God so often that every response we give will be in accordance to His word.  Just like Jesus, let us respond to the devil's temptations by saying "it is written"!

 And…

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people." Ephesians 6:18

Because..

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10

The enemy comes to
a) steal our Peace
b) kill out Joy
c) destroy out Confidence (in the Lord!)

Stay Blessed<3

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Spirit of Python: Teaching Angels to Worship

When you are going to hell/trails and you worship is when you can teach the Angels to Worship :) 1) God is Spirit : the Spirit is looking for people who will worship Him in truth and In spirit. *In Truth: the right truth (Jesus : see John 14:6) * In Spirit: even during trails we need to be in the spirit of Joy, Faith, Hope and Love "God is spirit,  and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 2) God can make something out of nothing : before God spoke the world into motion it was nothing. He took what was nothing made it into something. He also hung it on nothing, there is nothing that holds the universe in place! “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?      Tell me, if you understand." Job 38:4 How and when can we teach worship to the Angels? Angels Vs. Us Angels 1) Angels have never been nor will they ever be under the course of sin 2) They live in a perfect place (Heaven) 3) The fir...

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: The Power of Doing More than Expected

Even Jesus went a little farther...He did more than expected! Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:39 1) Jacob was working for his unfair father-in-law...and still did more than expected   Genesis 29 Jacob was tricked by his father-in-law Laban. But he never sinned against Laban and he always did more than what was expected from him! 2) Who did Jacob learn it from..doing more than expected? From his mother Rebekah "17  The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.” 18  “Drink, my lord,” she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink. 19  After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have had enough to drink.” 20  So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough, ran back to the we...

Just Jaded!

I hope you and your loved ones are safe in these crazy times. If any tragedy has come to your home, I pray God's peace and love envelops you right where you are. I pray that you rely on His unending love, mercy, grace, and strength in this time of hardship... I am, like most people, feeling very jaded. I have experienced more highs and lows in such intense frequencies now than any other time I can remember. I believe this is why the Lord has me sharing this... I had planned to write about loving people and what it looks like in different seasons. However, I felt a nudge that I should be sharing about the hope I have despite feeling jaded. To make sure we are on the same page about what I mean when I say jaded, here are two definitions from Merriam Webster's dictionary:  1: fatigued by overwork: EXHAUSTED  2: made dull, apathetic, or cynical by experience or by having or seeing too much of something I can identify with both definitions. In this season, I fin...
