Happy Valentine's day to you!

I think it is only natural to have a blog post about valentine's day, don't you think so?! Well it also a thing or two God thought me throughout the day.

Today after work I was helping a friend set up a surprise for valentine's day! Seriously guys, I think I can start an interior designing business :) Not faltering myself but you would have loved what I did with the place. You would love it, 1) if you are a romantic 2) if you enjoy symmetry of things 3) if you enjoy unique, personalized and creative decorations. As I was working to make this surprise an unforgettable one it hit me how happy I was for my friend. At that moment, I felt as though valentine's day was just for them to celebrate and I didn't really mind. The truth is, I love surprises and I love love love cheesy and romantic things so I would have loved it if someone else was working on how best to surprise me. The reality, I am at home typing out my blog post. Another reality, I don't regret helping my friend and I am so happy for them! Which brings me back to my point, Matthew 7:12! THE GOLDEN RULE!!!

Jesus new it would come in handy one day (actually, we need it everyday of our lives!! He knew it so He told us it!!) when He said "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets" Matthew 7:12. You see if everyone actually followed the golden rule the world would be a better place. No one likes to be stolen from so no one would steal. No one likes to have a family member robbed or killed so no one would rob or kill. Do you see where I am going would this? I would love it if some people got together to work on a way to surprise me so then I collaborated with my friend to make this surprise happen! :) One thing we all have in common is that we all want to be loved! Okay so, by applying the golden rule, it means we ought to love to love others! Right? Learn to love our enemies (Matthew 5:44), learn to love your neighbors (Matthew 22:39) and most importantly learn to Love God (Matthew 22:27). Oh and one last thing, remember we love because He loved us first (1 John 4:19)!

Happy Valentine's Day <3

Stay Blessed<3

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Spirit of Python: Teaching Angels to Worship

When you are going to hell/trails and you worship is when you can teach the Angels to Worship :) 1) God is Spirit : the Spirit is looking for people who will worship Him in truth and In spirit. *In Truth: the right truth (Jesus : see John 14:6) * In Spirit: even during trails we need to be in the spirit of Joy, Faith, Hope and Love "God is spirit,  and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 2) God can make something out of nothing : before God spoke the world into motion it was nothing. He took what was nothing made it into something. He also hung it on nothing, there is nothing that holds the universe in place! “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?      Tell me, if you understand." Job 38:4 How and when can we teach worship to the Angels? Angels Vs. Us Angels 1) Angels have never been nor will they ever be under the course of sin 2) They live in a perfect place (Heaven) 3) The fir...

He is a Better Planner!

I did not mean to take the whole summer off from blogging it just so happen to be that way. Partly due to the numerous things that were changing in my life but more so due to lack of better planning/ time blocking. One of the highlights of my summer was becoming a Mrs. I never knew the weight the pre-fix would carry until I heard someone address me as such. I don't know about you but the Amharic word is, even more, weightier, "ወይዘሮ/weyizero"!. That was one of my life updates. Now that I said that, let's get to the meat and potatoes of my post... I have said before that I am a recovering perfectionist. Today, I stand before you confirming that statement still rings true in my life. I confess, somedays, I face some battles as if I had never before and get frustrated because I haven't gotten perfect at not being a perfectionist! You see the irony...   Tracing back where my want/need to be perfectionist came from, I was surprised to find out that it was linked to ...
