Challenge of the Week!

Good morning   :) How have you guys been? Sorry I have been MIA, I am just in the middle of starting a new chapter in life...MOVING is the first step!

Do you have a favorite season? Mine is summer because I love the sun and warm weather. Do you have a season you dislike? The season I dislike the most is winter because it is dark and cold. Do ever think both seasons are created by God for a purpose? Despite your favoritism towards any one season, do we understand that each of them are necessary?

Challenge of the Week: This week I challenge you to accept that even the cold and dark days in life are necessary. I challenge you to recognize that the Lord God has it all figured out! It was not by mistake He made the season you are in right now! I challenge you to trust in Him while waiting for this cold season to pass! Trust Him always!

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."Romans 8:28

  1. SPECIAL OCCASION SINNERS

If you are a Christian and only sin on special occasions will you be exempt from not inheriting the kingdom of God?

Is it Scripturally correct to claim you are not guilty of sin because you only sin on special occasions like birthdays, holidays, and a few randomly selected days?

Can I assert I am not a thief, because I do not steal on a regular bases?

Can men say they are not a drunkards, because they only get drunk on special occasions?

Can men assume they are not fornicators, because they only have sex with people who they are not married to, on rare occasions?

Can men assert that they not homosexuals, because they have sex with the same sex infrequently?

Can men proclaim they are not murderers, because they only murder a few times a year?

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

The apostle Paul did not say, "Such were some of you, however, now you are special occasion sinners that can continue your sins on a somewhat limited schedule."

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Refuse to Pretend

Be a Contender not a Pretender!  1) The time Jacob labored to get Rachel was nothing to him because of how much he loved her. Similarly when you love God all the sacrifices you make are nothing..if you truly love Him that is! "So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her." Genesis 29:20 Rachel is his first Love..She is representation of Jesus and His Love where as Leah is the  substitute ..not the real one. Rachel is the one where as Leah is the second option..not the best! Leah is Religion where as Rachel is Relationship with Christ Leah is Survival where as Rachel is Revival 2) Do not be Pretenders but Contenders "Dear friends,  although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share,  I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend  for the faith  that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people."Jude 1:3 Do not be like people who come t...

Video of the Week : Holding on to You

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23  Teach me until I am broken no more, feed me until am hungry no more! I am Holding on to You!! Today I encourage you to hold on to Him, the Faithful one who won't let go of you even if you let go of Him! Hold on to the one who has you in His hands, to the one who numbered every stand of hair and all of your days!! I have seen His miracles in times of my storm by just choosing to Hold on to Him!!! When the Music Stops...

Hey Friends, I am trying to honour my commitment to make at least one blog post a month, so here goes July. That being said, please know that I am not posting for the sake of posting. I am trying to cultivate an active listening skill when it comes to each topic I share i.e. I will not post until I am convinced I heard from my heavenly daddy. I hope this is one speaks to you. :)   When the Music Stops... This marks the first time I talk about my hubby-to-be on this blog. This man is a Gem! He is a true worshipper, a man after God's heart. He also happens to be an anointed worship leader :) I am not saying that because I love him, I promise. The reason I bring him up though is because one of the very many conversations we have had about music is a good illustration to the point I will make later in this post. He mentioned that  it is common practice amongst some parents to hide their kids' musical instruments closer to exam seasons in the hopes of helping them focus...
