Challenge of the Week

Hello everyone how is your Tuesday going? Praise God mine is going great!! Have you ever felt that knot in your stomach when you think of what next? Have you been so unsure of what your next steps are? Do you even know what you want to do with your career or where you want to go with it? Challenge of the week: This week I challenge you to trust in the Lord! Trust in Him because He has brought you this far. I challenge you to look at your past and how He pulled you through when anxiety of the future hits you! I challenge you to wait on Him by knowing and trusting He has the best plans for your life! 5  "Trust in the  Lord  with all your heart      and lean not on your own understanding; 6  in all your ways submit to him,      and he will make your paths  straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 Stay Blessed<3

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: The Way of the Eagle

God will Fly Faster than you will fall..Then He will catch you! Qualities of an Eagle..we should have these things as Christians 1) An Eagle has Great Vision: It is easy to get lost without a vision 2)  An Eagle feasts only on Living things: We are alive in Christ, we do not need the dead things of our past 3) An Eagle is Faithful : We should be faithful in our relationship with our mates, friends, families and most of all in our relationship with God! When Does an Eagle Soar to the sky with its eyes set on the sun? 1) When a storm is approaching The Eagle sets its eyes on the heaven above as a storm approaches. We need to set our Gaze on Christ when storms come our way. "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." Colossians 3:2 2) When its enemy approaches The Condor is Eagle's enemy and it knows the only way it can win is if the Eagle stays down (when the Eagle doesn't soar to the sky) The only way our enemy will win u...

Challenge of the Week!

Good afternoon :) How is everyone doing? Praise God am doing great this bright and sunny Tuesday (It is sooo pretty outside :) ) Have you ever asked yourself, after responding in a certain way to a certain situation, was that a Christian thing to do? Do you ever question your deeds by saying Would Jesus be happy with what I did? Have you ever asked yourself, what would Jesus do? Challenge of the week: This week I challenge you to question your deeds, your responses to certain things. This week I challenge you to ask yourself "what would Jesus do?" before responding to situations. After all we as Christians are trying to look and live like Christ, right? Why not start living like Him, responding to things the way He did, or the way He would have done. Then and only then can the name we carry (Christians) be a true representative of Who we follow! "Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did" 1 John 2:6 Stay Blessed<3

Prayer of the Week

How are you doing this afternoon? Praise God I am doing great! Do you have something you look forward to? It does not have to be something you want in the immediate future. Do you find yourself dwelling over this thing you want to the point that you are almost asking God why not now? Have you ever reached a point of almost doubting God's timing because of your impatience?   Prayer of the week: Pray this week for a seed of patience to be sown in you. Pray for this seed to grow. Pray that you will learn to wait for His timing, to wait on Him. Because, in His perfect timing His perfect will is revealed. “ Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” Psalms 27:14 Stay Blessed<3

Let your light shine!

When I heard of the Boston Marathon bombing was very shocked and saddened by the resulting destruction. I think what was shocking for me was to hear that the second suspect is only 19 years old!! 19?? 19??? He is still a teenager, he is probably still in school. Wow 19? What is this world coming to?? What are we doing about things like this? Are we just momentarily shocked and then we go on living our lives because it has not affected us directly? But what if you knew the 19 year old? What if he was a kid in your neighborhood? What if you knew the people who had gotten seriously injured or worse, passed away? I feel we need to start living lives that are empathetic. We need to stop and realize the world does not revolve around our busy lives alone..there is far more to it than that! I was not planing on writing about this but I guess I shall continue as the Spirit leads! As a Christian who comes across very many young and old people who seem to have lost hope in life what do I...

Challenge of the Week!

Good morning everyone :) How is your Tuesday so far? Praise God mine is great! Have you ever felt like you are giving everything but God time from your day? Have you ever caught your self watching a TV show when you haven't spent enough time with God and your excuse was that you are busy? Challenge of the week: This week I challenge you to focus on Him! I challenge you to let one TV show go and spend that time with God! I challenge you to spend more time in His word. I challenge you to actually take your time and enjoy His presence. I assure you the benefits of spending time with God are far more than what you would gain from a TV show. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;  apart from me you can do nothing." John 15: 5 Stay Blessed<3

Prayer of the Week!

Good morning everyone :) How is your Monday morning so far? Praise God it is warm and sunny here :) Have you ever felt like your prayer will not be heard because of how much wrong you have done? Have you ever thought to your self its been too long since I prayed I don't think God will accept it if I pray now? Prayer of the week: I tell you this week to Pray Anyways!! I speak from experience that the minute you actually pray you will be set free from those draining lies of the enemy. I tell you to pray continually no matter what your flesh (mind) tells you. And no prayer will pass unheard so be encouraged! "pray continually," 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Stay Blessed<3

Are you ready???

As a student who lives away from home, it is safe to assume that my room does not always look the cleanest. In fact my housemates get quite surprised when they see my room clean. Hold on, I feel like I am tainting my own image I actually like a clean room so don’t jump to conclusions..not yet at least. I do clean up though, and when I do it stays clean for a long time (I keep up with it) There are also times where I don’t clean it and it get from bad to worse each second. It was one of those days when my housemate’s mother came to visit. To make matters worse she has not met me, all she knows about me is that I have a messy room. You can imagine what she thought of me. Now my room has been cleaned and kept up with for a while, not once did she come to visit. So decided I might as well be ready everyday any day so whenever she comes to visit she would find my room clean. Are you ready?? Are you ready for the second coming of Christ?   “For you know very well that the day o...

Video of the Week: Wonderful, merciful, savior

You are the one that we Praise, You are the one we adore! "Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all." 1 Chronicles 29:11 Stay Blessed<3

Challenge of the Week!

How are you this very day? Praise God I am doing great? Have you been in one place for so long but when are about to leave that place you recognize you don't know anything about it? about the people around you? Have you walked past the same path everyday and failed to  see the beauty of it? Have you known a person for so long but never knew the troubles they are going through? Have you thought to take your time to talk to them as opposed to the usual nod or a five second smile accompanied with a wave? Challenge of the Week: This week I challenge you to get out of your comfort zone, look around and see if there is anyone that needs emotional support. I challenge you to take your time and talk to people you usually just wave at. I challenge you to try and see through your spiritual eyes, and recognize that there are  people who are actually at the verge of breaking. Be the vessel the Lord has designed you to be! "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened ...

Prayer of the Week!

Good afternoon everyone :) The sun is back!!!! :) Yay Praise God spring is here and in full force! :D Have you ever Prayed about your Prayer life??? Prayer of the Week: This week I urge you to pray about your prayer life. Notice I didn't say your time in prayer but your prayer life..that is because prayer is not something you fit in to a time slot. You can have a prayer life, it can a prominent part of your life, it does not need to be limited to just an hour or two of your day, it can be your life style. Recognize that Prayer is key in a Christian's walk with Christ! " And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Matthew 21:22   " praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints," Ephesians 6:18 Stay Blessed<3

I know that feels like an impossible thing to do. But before you scratch the idea, think about it. I challenge you to think it through. This week I challenge/encourage you to leave all the things that worry you in the Able Hands of the Lord! I challenge you then after to have enough faith  that you stop worrying. "6  Do not be anxious about anything,  but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.   7  And the peace of God,  which transcends all understanding,  will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jes...

To be able to see who needs help? To have a heart like Him? to care about things He cares about? Prayer of the Week: Pray this week for all of those things. Luke 2:30-32 Stay Blessed...
