Prayer of the Week!

Hello peeps! Oh how I have missed blogging! I hope you have been good :) I have been great except for needing more than 24 hours in a day! But God is faithful! He truly is!

I am sure most of us lead very busy lives, am I right? Do you then find yourselves making your quiet times as one of the things you need to do in the morning? As opposed to what it actually is, spending time with your creator. Do you notice how routine based life sorta creeps in, even in our walks with God? You see we can't allow the devil to use 'business' as a weapon against our spiritual health! Our spiritual health depends completely on us seeking our heavenly Dad's face!

Prayer of the Week: This week let us actively pray against routine based spiritual life. Mind you it doesn't mean that your quiet times shouldn't be at the same place or time everyday. It just means that we walk with new revelations and anointing each day as a result of seeking the father in a genuine manner. AND PLEASE DON'T CONFUSE THIS WITH THE 'WORKS VS GRACE' THEOLOGY. He has saved us by grace but we are called to workout our salvation. Pray that the devil does't use our business against us. Let us be in His word as much as possible. As spending time in His word is also spending time with Him. Let us pray for new revelation and deeper understanding of His word/Him every time we read His word!

"25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.

26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.

27 It is good for a man to bear
The yoke in his youth.

28 Let him sit alone and keep silent,
Because God has laid it on him;

29 Let him put his mouth in the dust—
There may yet be hope.

30 Let him give his cheek to the one who strikes him,
And be full of reproach.

31 For the Lord will not cast off forever.

32 Though He causes grief,
Yet He will show compassion
According to the multitude of His mercies.

33 For He does not afflict willingly,
Nor grieve the children of men." Lamentations 3:25-33

Sermon by Jentezen Franklin: Refuse to Pretend

Be a Contender not a Pretender!  1) The time Jacob labored to get Rachel was nothing to him because of how much he loved her. Similarly when you love God all the sacrifices you make are nothing..if you truly love Him that is! "So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her." Genesis 29:20 Rachel is his first Love..She is representation of Jesus and His Love where as Leah is the  substitute ..not the real one. Rachel is the one where as Leah is the second option..not the best! Leah is Religion where as Rachel is Relationship with Christ Leah is Survival where as Rachel is Revival 2) Do not be Pretenders but Contenders "Dear friends,  although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share,  I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend  for the faith  that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people."Jude 1:3 Do not be like people who come t...

Video of the Week : Holding on to You

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23  Teach me until I am broken no more, feed me until am hungry no more! I am Holding on to You!! Today I encourage you to hold on to Him, the Faithful one who won't let go of you even if you let go of Him! Hold on to the one who has you in His hands, to the one who numbered every stand of hair and all of your days!! I have seen His miracles in times of my storm by just choosing to Hold on to Him!!! When the Music Stops...

Hey Friends, I am trying to honour my commitment to make at least one blog post a month, so here goes July. That being said, please know that I am not posting for the sake of posting. I am trying to cultivate an active listening skill when it comes to each topic I share i.e. I will not post until I am convinced I heard from my heavenly daddy. I hope this is one speaks to you. :)   When the Music Stops... This marks the first time I talk about my hubby-to-be on this blog. This man is a Gem! He is a true worshipper, a man after God's heart. He also happens to be an anointed worship leader :) I am not saying that because I love him, I promise. The reason I bring him up though is because one of the very many conversations we have had about music is a good illustration to the point I will make later in this post. He mentioned that  it is common practice amongst some parents to hide their kids' musical instruments closer to exam seasons in the hopes of helping them focus...
