At the foot of the cross
Where grace and suffering meet
You have shown me Your love
Through the judgment You received
And You have won my heart
Now I can trade these ashes in for beauty
And I wear forgiveness like a crown
Coming to kiss the feet of mercy
I lay every burden down at the foot of the cross
"28Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11: 28-30
"and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor." Isaiah 61:3
