So be encouraged, if you go ahead with the One word, one Whisper from God though you might face trials, He will definetly be there with you! Stay Blessed<3

Challenge of the Week!

Good morning :) It is still very dark and gloomy but since I am filled with the Joy of the Lord, not even a storm can take my smile away!!! The need for a quiet time/devotional time for a christian in his/her walk with God is essential. God loves it when we come to His presence in groups, with friends and families but at the same time it is necessary to have that one on one time with your Father in Heaven. Prayer is basically communicating with God, talking to Him and also giving Him your complete and utter attention so that He can talk back! Challenge of the week: The time has come, you have been pushing back the day you will start reading your bible, or the day you will start a scheduled devotional, or even the day you will decide to follow Him leaving your sins behind. But, today I urge you to start  doing what you have put off to later in life, to make Him the purpose of your existence. Decide today to pick up your cross and follow Him! For His cross is much easier to carry...

Prayer of the Week!

Good morning :) Yes it is very cold and dark now but we still have the light that shines from within us, Praise God for that! I have been thinking about four characters from the bible first one being Job(the guy who faced so many trials and yet stuck to God, that guy who lost his kids, riches, his friends, an even his health yet Chose to stick to God!). Another person I was thinking of is Abraham and how faithful and obedient he was to God (to the point of almost sacrificing his only son!). I also thought of Samuel( the kid who was given to God's household to grow in knowledge of God and serve Him all his life). I thought of Lydia, she was among the women who got baptized after Paul shared Christ to them. All of these four people have traits that helped them in their walk with God. Prayer of the Week: let us pray for God to give us Samuel's ears, then to open our hearts like He opened Lydia's heart, to be obedient like...

Religious or Spiritual????

I was in my organic chemistry class when my professor started throwing the word religious around and I paid complete and total attention to find out what he was saying. I know what you are thinking, and Yes I was paying attention before that it’s just that word captured my attention.   As I continued to listen to my professor I found out he wasn’t even talking about anything church related and I am sure I heard him saying “make it your religious practice“. He is teaching us organic chemistry, so what he said was “make it your religious practice to learn how to properly draw chair confirmations of cyclohexanes.”   I turned to Google for further understanding of the phrase, to try and see if I could find the true meaning. What I found was a definition of religion what it didn’t have though, was Christ. Religious practice without Christ is mere repetition of tasks, call it performance. This is where we need to understand the difference between being spiritual and being r...

" My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27      "1 word from God can take you from failure to sucess!" If today you are seeking direction and guidance on a major decsion in your life, wait on Him!   Stay Blessed<3

Challenge of the Week!

Morning everyone :) How is your morning so far? mine is great thanks for asking :) Yesterday the day was so beautiful that I had to take a picture and put it up on facebook. Now today, that is a different story! Today is so dark and gloomy you wouldn't want to leave your bed! But, just as I was about to complain I realized that it's the same God that made both the days! Challenge of the week: Let us learn to thank God  for the dark and gloomy days  as we do for the bright and sunny days!  Every season is for a reason! So if you are thinking this is not the life I want, well be of full cheer and be encouraged the same God is there to bring you a brighter tomorrow!! "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:" Ecclesiastes 3:1 Stay Blessed<3

Prayer of the Week!

Good morning everyone :) Prayer is essentially talking to and hearing from God. How blessed are we to have been given the right to talk to the King of Kings, Ruler and creator of the Universe by just getting on our knees? The importance of prayer has been displayed in the bible numerous times. Even Jesus, the Son of God, knew to pray day in day out! If Jesus prayed to keep in communication with God, how much more should we pray? "pray continually,"  1 Thessalonians  5:17 Prayer of the week: Is to take our prayer lives seriously and start praying to get in sync with our heavenly father. For His will to be ours, even for us to know what His will for each of our lives is! Stay Blessed<3

Dirt in Hidden places

The irony of my job is when I have the least amount of customers coming in to dine at the end of my shift I am super exhausted. The only exception to that is if I have a storm of customers coming in at all times. One faithful day the restaurant was so empty that I started to clean places I have never thought to clean, and went at it for hours. The funny thing is this place is cleaned ‘properly’ before the beginning of every shift. So you could imagine my shock when I found dirt in hidden places, even places I thought where regularly visited and cleaned. After the intensive cleaning I said to myself “now I can actually say it’s clean!”  I was confident in saying that because even if you searched for all the hidden places they were all clean, at least for a little while. I have always battled with the concept of there being a ‘Christian look’. I, through couple of incidents, learnt that you can’t put a face to what a Christian should look like. But that being said there is ...

Video of the Week :From the inside out

From the inside out, let our transformation first be inside and the outside will follow! People, let us care more about our insides looking like Christ than our outside looking like 'a Christian'!    "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14 Stay Blessed<3

Sermon By Jentezen Franklin:How to get Right

Sometimes God takes us Left for us to be on the Right track! So be encouraged each time God takes you on a different path, a path you thought was not right. If He is taking you there then even if it's left, its for you to be right later in life! Be encouraged in your trials!! "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, " James1:2 Stay Blessed<3

Challenge of the Week!

Good morning :) ( I know its past noon here but hey am sure somewhere in the world it's still morning :) so give me a break ) So this week I have been focusing on a 1 verse (Romans 12:2), I think I will probably start having a verse for the week and make every post in that week related to that verse. Challenge of the week:  Is there some part of you that is still holding on to your old ways? Do you find it hard , at times to separate your self from the world? Do you find your self pondering on the same sinful experiences (be it past sin or sin at hand)? If so, this week's challenge is to identify what that is you still haven't submitted to the Lord. Prayerfully consider it, and work towards opening your hearts and shielded places in your life, for the Lord to come in and transform you! "Do not conform  to the pattern of this world,  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will i...

Prayer of the Week!

Happy Monday :) How are you guys doing today? How was your weekend? I have been praying for the longest time to see God's will in my life, to hear from Him (possibly with an audible voice :) ) so that I am sure I am doing the right thing in His sight. "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will" Romans 12:2 Prayer of the week: Let us pray that we are set apart from this world and our old ways, ways we used to live by before we became Christians. Let us recognize that we can't be of the world and of Christ at the same time, no one can serve two masters at once! let us pray for renewal of our mind so to be transformed into the new creatures that we are in Christ! Then and only then will we be ready to submit to His will and not our own!  Stay Blessed<3

Temporary much!

If you guys where in Hamilton or anywhere in the GTA the last two summers you can defiantly relate, also Minnesota seems to have the same type of weather so yall can relate too!  The house I lived in the summer before, to make things worse,  didn't  even have an AC! One of the days I and my housemates happened to stay indoors to avoid the heat, but it turns out that our house has changed into a walking sauna bath.  Luckily, one of my housemates had stocked our freezer with freezes. On summer days like those it’s almost impossible to do without them. The pile that looked like a supply for 10,000 years finished in no time. That was because the satisfaction of one freeze was only temporary; you would need a second one right after you finish the first one.  Aren't  things of this world as temporary as the freezes or the relief they gave? If we look at scripture, John 4:3-26, Jesus describes how temporary this world is. He went to a town in Samaria nea...

Video of the Week: My Redeemer Lives

" because through Christ Jesus  the law of the Spirit who gives life  has set you   free  from the law of sin  and death."Romans  8:2 "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law  by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole."Galatians 3:13 "that he was buried,  that he was raised  on the third day  according to the Scriptures," 1 Corinthians 15:4   Stay Blessed<3

Challenge of the Week!

Love a little more week! :)Some times it is so much easier to judge people than to simply accept them for who they are and love them despite their views. Challenge of the week: Love a little more, this week I challenge you to love more, this week I ask that every single time you are tempted to Judge, love instead!! We are created by a God who not only shows love but Who is love, God is Love! Today let us intentionally love more! " The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart  and a good conscience  and a sincere faith." 1 Timothy 1:5 Stay Blessed<3

Prayer of the Week!

Happy Thanksgiving (Canadian)  :) This day is dedicated to devouring turkey and giving thanks for all the blessings we have received  Though I like the concept of having a designated day for Giving thanks I feel it also hinders people in way. I say this because, giving thanks might just be associated with thanksgiving day/weekend. I want to see the spirit of thanksgiving in everyone everyday not just once a year. Prayer of the week: Just pray that we will always have a spirit willing to give thanks everyday, in any situation, or trail. Let us be people that wake up each day to recognize all the blessings in our lives and give thanks everyday. "16  Rejoice always,   17  pray continually,   18  give thanks in all circumstances;  for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Stay Blessed<3

Just an employee

I warned you guys that once I started writing about where I work I will never stop right? Well if I didn’t before this, take it as a fair warning. It was one of my longer shifts and I had sort of begun so it was still almost empty except for my enthusiastic table of four ladies. When I am not swamped with customers, I like taking my time to talk to the ones there. After couple of trips and small talks one of the ladies asked me.” Are you the owner of this place?” I was flattered and quickly replied “Nope, am just an employee!” Then she hit me with a response I didn’t see coming,” you are not Just an employee you are an employee!” I walked away as I pondered on her reply to the statement I made. Then it hit me!!!! When we think of ourselves as Christians don’t we do the same thing?   When we see people passionately evangelizing or preaching don’t we tell ourselves that we are just Christians? I don’t know about you but I went through a phase were I gave excuses why...

Video of the Week : Holding on to You

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23  Teach me until I am broken no more, feed me until am hungry no more! I am Holding on to You!! Today I encourage you to hold on to Him, the Faithful one who won't let go of you even if you let go of Him! Hold on to the one who has you in His hands, to the one who numbered every stand of hair and all of your days!! I have seen His miracles in times of my storm by just choosing to Hold on to Him!!! Stay Blessed<3

Sermon By Jentezen Franklin: Going Through Life's Storms

"45  Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. 46  After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray. 47  Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. 48  He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, 49  but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, 50  because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t beafraid." Mark 6:45-50 1)Remeber you are rowing by Divine Instruction Mark6:45 2)When you can't see Him He can still see you Mark 6:46-48 3)When rowing is tough pick up the crums Mark 6:52 4)Always remember to Welcome Jesus on Board Mark 6:48-50 Stay Blessed<3

Challenge of the Week!

Forgiveness is the core of Christianity yet, when we bring it down to scope of our daily lives we struggle with it. Most Christians struggle with the fact that all of their Sins have been redeemed by that cross that Christ bled on! I say this because I have personally struggled with forgiving my self and knowing that the minute I repented and asked for forgiveness it was granted! The fact that we are granted forgiveness the moment we truly repent is true, Biblicaly speaking,  and yet our human nature will allow doubt to sip in and make a way for the devil! Challenge of the week: Is knowing that the minute you repent God cancels out the sins you are guilty of! Not just knowing that but believing and moving on! I pray that you take this week's challenge to heart and work towards avoiding any sort of guilt in your life. In addition to that, if you have anyone that you have not forgiven, prayerfully walk towards forgiving the...
